This is a small still life painting of sunflowers and lotus flower seedpods using watercolours and w/c pencils done in a loose style to express the summery feeling of the flower. In my earlier work I did a series of sunflower paintings showing the journey from the seed to the demise and transformation/rebirth of the flower as a metaphor of our journey through life and I have written extensively on this in a blog post. (As this website is new it will take a little while for me to gather all the disparate parts together but hopefully this will be imminent).

The photo shows a natural wood frame, but the frame that I have used is a deep white wood frame, (apx. 3cm deep)

NB: This item is in stock and can be sent to you straight away by post. As it is a small painting (10 × 12 inches framed) it can be shipped with the frame. Postal rates have been raised again unfortunately but I do my best to keep prices as low as possible for overseas. Local post within Ireland is €8 flat fee. (If you purchase a second item, shipping is free) UK and Europe shipping is €23 which includes insurance and is tracked. Rest of World is €32 and is also tracked and insured.
