Sketching in the Walled Garden.
Yesterday I took advantage of the good weather and went for a stroll in the beautiful walled garden at Marlay Park. The plants and trees have come on so much in the past few years since it was first restored in 2000. I chose a spot beside some beautiful pink roses and getting out my watercolours to paint after a long absence, combined with the heavenly scent from the flowers on the breeze was a potent blend for pure happiness.
The Power Within
I don’t have all the answers. But there is one thing I’m sure of. If we can learn to tap into our intuition; our higher selves, we are connecting with a power greater than ourselves. When we do this I believe that we are able to receive and channel a creative healing power that is our spiritual inheritance.
I would like to share with you my experience of how I learned to connect to the power within through my painting, and how I’ve used my creativity not only as a tool to navigate my way through the difficulties of life, but also to develop my spirituality. I believe that whatever we do, we all have the ability to tap into this creative energy, which is our divine life force. For me it comes through the strongest when I engage in the activity of painting.
